Šárka Radová

"If an artist wants to create something new, something from his own personal experience must be reflected in his work. Art actually is a means of making your opinion heard in a certain discussion."

“Being a sculptor is a beautiful lot but if a man has to prove something, he must have the wings of a muse, calloused hands and a butt of iron.”
Born 1949 in Prague, Šárka lives and works in Prague. She is a member Artists’ Associations, Association of Fine Artists of Ceramics and ART.I.UM. She works mostly with porcelain and other ceramic masses, as well as with paper and other additional materials. She creates sculptures and reliefs, both as separate artworks and as part of bigger architectonic projects. Since the 1970s, she has realised 54 solo exhibitions in Czech Republic and in European countries and has participated in more than sixty collective exhibitions at home and abroad. Her works are represented in numerous galleries and private collections both at home and abroad.
