Josef Thalhofer

Artistic approach: In the technical architecture, details, accurate execution, and compliance are important. In my painting, I dissolve it. The mere presentation of one's own forms, colors, figures and structures, as well as the expanding or exceeding imaginative inventing or combining formal-content-related design relationships are of great importance to me.
My free expressive painting has a lively interplay of reflections, impulses and colors. In my mostly large- format works, the process goes away from the objective, but sometimes also reminiscent of representational, without really formulating it. I want to allow my pictures a variety of interpretations for the viewer. The viewer is invited to fill this content with meaning, so that I and the viewer together have the authority to interpret what they have seen.
