Eva Mansfeldová
Eva Mansfeldová was born in 1950 in Prague. She studied at the Academy of Fine Arts in Prague 1969 – 1975. During the eighties, she exhibited her works sporadically due to ruling conditions, but since 1989, her works have been shown at a number of events, and were sought after by art collectors.
“Eva Mansfeldová rightfully continues to be seen as one of the most distinctive Czech painters working in Concrete Art and geometric abstraction. Her works rely solely on the exceptional effect of their colors, lines, and forms. They have grown according to their ‘own laws’ and represent an indicator that shows the viewer the way to another truth – to the lasting mysteries concealed behind the ever-changing forms of reality on the surface. Already in her lifetime Eva was able to persuade the general public of the power and value of her talent. After her journey came to an end in 2016, her works speak for her though in a voice so strong and persuasive that one has to pay attention.” František Malina 2019
