Dóra Juhász

Dóra Juhász

The distinctivness of Dóra Juhász’s lyrical abstract paintings is the usage of patterns. These are entities splitting the mellow but unsetling sensuality of the background, repeated in an almost orderly mode, mostly helical, oval forms in a non-expressive style and certainly not in an expressionist manner, searching their places int he composition. They are not floating in the background nor in front of it, instead they are woven into it without being absorbed. The visual signs seem toilsome and cheerful at the same time.

Dóra Juhász has won several major Hungarian art awards. Her work can be seen at Janus Pannonious Modern Museum of Art, Pécs, Four Seasons Hotel Budapest or W Hotel, Texas. Dóra Juhász has exhibited in numerous solo and group shows all over Hungary, European countries and the United States. She studied at Chelsea College of Fine Art, UK. and at Hungarian University of Fine Art, Budapest.
